Dealing with Reality

LabelsOctober 24, 2005 8:46 pm

If you have an opinion that something is bad and you wish to express it,
it is better to avoid using negative labels like stupid and suck.

Negative labels either potentially hurt other people’s feelings
or it will fill your mind with negativity (yuck!)
so cut down or simply avoid the usage of negative labels.

You can use positive and constructive labels as alternative.
Here’s a suggestion :

instead of saying something sucks or someone is stupid,
use labels like

“(s)he has a lot of room for improvement

“it can be done better

Here’s an analogy.

When a wheel spins.
we see it spinning.
When it spins very fast
we see it as if it is still.

The wheel is moving
at the same time it can be still
as perceived.

In our world,
things that are still are actually moving as well.
The earth is spinning fast at the same time it orbits around the sun,
making everything on earth “moves” very fast with it.
So are we really still or in motion?
Many people perceive themself as being static on earth
despite they are moving faster than a moving sports car (refer to relative motion).

Everything has two extremes
even though we only perceive one side of it.
Fractals are parts of the spectrum.

This is the same as good and evil, hot and cold, high and low
If you learn Physics, you will know that everything is made of wave-particles.
They are just the spectra of Ying and Yang.

The extremes we perceive are illusionary labels.
Wise people see beyond extremes
as they know the true form behind everything is the same.

Fractals and extremes that appear different are just parts of the whole spectrum.

Pure love is unconditional because it is beyond extremes.
It blesses the whole spectrum, including good and evil.

Separation creates more illusions to the whole.
Unification is the way to go beyond extremes.

Sometimes when people do nasty things to us we label them as “bad” people.
Some people even label them with negative names like idiot and moron as a way of expressing anger, which is actually unhealthy.

We often label our friends, relatives and people who are nice to us as “good”

Therefore people in our lives are divided into “good” and “bad”
and such labels are being attached firmly in the minds of many people.

That is an illusion of life
Many people live in the world of labels.

“good” and “bad” do not really exist.
They are just a part of the same spectrum at different poles.

There is no good or bad people.

“Good” people might one day change to “bad” people
and “bad” people might choose to repent and become “good” people
so who are we to judge people and put labels?
People will change.
What labels people are carrying are not important.
What is important is the choice people make in the now.

Instead of attaching to labels,
choose to do good deeds in the now
think and feel positively all the time.

There is no point in labeling people.
People will change as time goes by.
Let go the attachment towards labels and judgments that you have put on others.

Labels and words are like fingers that point towards the moon.
They are not the moon themselves.

Instead of debating and judging the fingers ( labels )
It is much better to observe and realise the moon ( truth ).

Choose to let go the attachment towards the labels.

All words of “Thank You” above are just labels of many languages.

Human beings are separated by so many aspects like culture, races, countries, languages.
If we do not choose to let go the attachment towards these labels and differences,
We cannot get together and live in harmony.
as human beings.

Love brings unification.
Choose love and choose unification,
not separation and attachments towards labels.

Let go the differences and labels
Express the gratitude behind the label “Thank You”
by showing your warm, sincere smile. :)

You are such a terrible person.
You are the best worker in the world.
This is right, you are wrong
Love is wonderful.
Democracy brings prosperity.
Perfect and Imperfect.

All these are labels.

They are just names given to things and states.
We encounter so many labels in life.

People who are ignorant are easily being manipulated by labels.
They are attached to these labels.
Many people get hurt just because someone “paste” negative labels on them
and many people have false pride when “nice” labels are given to them.
Even the meaning of love is distorted as “love” has become a label that is directed to many meanings, including lust. Nowadays it is better to say “compassion” than “love” to people as “compassion” can be understood more accurately.

Label
is just an illusion that points at the truth,
it is not the truth itself
and labels can be manipulated to point at the fake “truth”

Choose to let go the attachment towards labels in life
and you will realise the nature of reality
and you will be strong. :)
