Dealing with Reality

There is no need to worry about future events.
Things happen in its own way so just live well in the now

People have fear and worry over things that they are not sure of in the future
including death.

We never personally experience death.
It might be a “good” or “bad” experience,
which only happens in the future
but people make a lot of assumptions about it and have various unnecessary fear and worry towards it.
There is no need to worry or fear about future events unless you choose to dwell in it.
What we need to do is just live well in the now as now is the most important moment in your life.

There is no fear of the unknown if you live well in the now.
Many people fear because they are living under the illusions of the unknown.

You can take measurements to prevent negative events in the future but worrying or fearing about it is not going to help you in life.

When you live well and choose to be positive,
you will simply attract positive outcomes.
So live in the now
instead of fearing the unknown future.

Simply let go

Exam is the ultimate challenge for most of the students.
They need to pass exam in order to move forward to their next stage of learning.

Not many people deal with exam wisely.
Many people have the belief that to pass exam
they must study hard and do many exercises.
They attach firmly to such belief
until they are being limited by their own thinking.

Let go such belief.

Dealing with exam is not about studying hard
It is about studying smart.

Some students do very well in exam with little effort
but many students perform moderately despite putting a lot of effort in their studies.
That does not mean that certain people are born genius as all of us have endless potential.
Those who do well simply study smart.

In learning process,
we should have long-term vision
Instead of spending time on doing tons of homework and reading textbooks,
Invest your time in long term development.

Develop your intelligence and train yourself to be an efficient learner.
Put effort in learning skills like multiple mentality, memory training, speed reading, creativity and thinking skills.
All these learning skills are very useful for the rest of your life.
Read interesting books besides text books to gain useful knowledge.

Homework and textbooks won’t bring you far in life. They are limited.
Doing tons of homework or reading a lot of textbooks won’t significantly increase your intelligence.
Your memory nor creativity will not develop
so why spend so much time on them?

Invest your time in long-term goals by being a great learner.
Training your intelligence is a good way to deal with exam.
because a powerful mind deals with exam much better than a mind that is limited by its own belief.

Now you can choose to be one of the students who passes exam easily. :)

Letting Go, Exercises 2:34 am

 

Sometimes we need to take a nap to refresh ourselves.
While taking a nap we should let go all the thinking and emotions.
We do not need to bring them into our short slumber.
We just need to relax completely without any distraction nor attachment.
Nap is very nice when we let go the whole world and sleep comfortably.

After lying down,
clench your fist tightly
and tense up the muscles of your whole body for a few seconds.
After that, let go all the forces and tension and stay relaxed.
You will notice that the letting go of the tension of your body muscles actually feels very good.
Now you can have a relaxing slumber
without attachment to anything.

Certain music promotes higher emotions like love and gratitude.
It makes you feel very good and positive.

It is good to listen to positive music but do not attach to them.

Letting Go 10:08 am

 

Morning wake up I have to go to work. Yesterday must be a tiring day. I am not sure if she want to go out with me? maybe she is admiring that guy. Must finish my work earlier so that I can watch football. too much work today. life is terrible. too many burdens. today should be nice if there is less traffic jam. the music is loud. how can they play heavy metal now. it is annoying. cannot think of anything. that guy who just stares at me, is he crazy or what? If I have a gun I will shoot him now. well, last week was pretty bad. I went to that city and everyone are insane. a guy who sells the paper to me doesn’t even bother to smile. the price of that camera is so expensive. I was expecting it to be 10 bucks only. The garden is nice. I want to go there again and again but I missed it. where are my childhood friends? are they working? hope I can meet them again as I missed them so much. cannot decide which option is best for this work. today’s salat is horrible. should have eaten at Macdonalds. have to pay income tax. water bill and electricity is settled? oh, the match is starting very soon. hmmm… nice advertisement. so colorful, reminds me of the movie I saw that day. ya, the book I read at the bookstore, it has similar story. That day was rainy, what if the raining season come? that would be troublesome. I think I should call her and tell her to read this book. It will be interesting to she her reaction. wonder if she is interested in cooking as I like girls who cook well. I think many people like to play games. What is the latest game? Final Fantasy seems to be quite interesting. I should go and buy one. too bad there is work to do. and I need to cook. how come there are no one who wish to date me? I think I need to go to fitness center and do something. Monday, Tuesday, possibly Saturday. There is a new movie showing. I cannot miss it. wow, JLo is releasing her new album. must get it soon. wonder if harry potter can be very cool if he fights spiderman’s villians. Spiderman is quite cool to. I hope it is release soon. my neighbour is so noisy, so terrible. How come there are such people in life? People who cannot control their thoughts and emotions, cannot control the reality.
They let reality control their thoughts and emotions.
They cannot control because they are not good at making conscious choices.
They are more to accepters than choosers.

Start to control your thoughts and emotions by realising that you have free will to choose.
you can choose not to let negativity control you and you can embrace higher emotions like love, compassion and gratitude.

By having control over your “inner” world
you can proceed to control your “outer” reality.

Men, Women

Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, Taoists etc.

Caucasians, Asians, Africans, Latins, Native Americans etc.

These are the separation in humanity.
Each group of people expresses that they are right or they are better than others.

Comparing, Competing, Fighting, Going to war and killing etc.

Choose to let go the attachment towards the differences.
We are all humans.
We are all living beings with life and free will.
We do not need to treat people conditionally.

Higher emotions (love, compassion, gratitude) lead to unity.
Lower emotions (hatred, greed, envy, pride) lead to separation.

Pursuing something boldly or taking risk in doing something is courageous.
Letting go requires courage too.

One can do anything to gain something
but is (s)he willing to let go (her) his possession?

Not many people have the courage to let go.
They fear loosing something valuable in life.
They do not really realise that nothing stays constant in life, as things and events are just illusions and they do not stay with us forever.

Money, fame, friends, lives etc.

Choose to overcome such fear and let go the attachment.

Only people who can conquer themselves have the courage of letting go.

Courage does not always come with might.
It can be very gentle.
It is the courage of letting go.

Life is about making choices

- Life Feel

Choosing seems to be simple and easy but many people are not really choosing in life.
I have been using the word “choose” on my blog many times because I want my readers to realise that choosing consciously is what needed to be done if you wish to have control over your life.

Many people live in the passive state of accepting realities.
Instead of knowing what they need and choosing what to think, feel and do in life,
they choose to believe that reality is fixed and one has to accept the outcome in life.
That is not true.

The events in life is a product of our choices in the past.
What you choose or accept now will lead you to the life in the future
and now is the time where you can make choices and take action.
That is why life is actually in the now, not in the past nor future.

If we toss people into a (lucid) dream
where they have clear awareness in the dream and are able to do or create whatever they wish,
I believe they will just stand in the dream wondering what they should create in the dream despite having the ability to do whatever they imagine.
Many people just do not know what they need in life.
They just live by accepting their “fate” and being passive
yet they whine and complain that life is pathetic and uncontrollable.

Realise that you are the director of your own life and choosing is very important
even in small matters.
Stop being a pajama person,
who just accept reality passively and believe that reality is fixed.
Be a good chooser so that you can lead your life and live well. :)

We are living with other people in life.
We are connected in some ways so it is important to have a healthy flow in our social network.

If possible avoid hurling negativity at anybody around you.
Somehow the negativity will come back to you and it is unhealthy for everyone.

One way of making your life healthy and positive is to make other people feel good.
Give polite compliments, wish people when you meet them and make them laugh.
In return you live in positive environtment.
You will eventually reap what you sow.

Life is wonderful when people around you feel wonderful :)

Sometimes when people do nasty things to us we label them as “bad” people.
Some people even label them with negative names like idiot and moron as a way of expressing anger, which is actually unhealthy.

We often label our friends, relatives and people who are nice to us as “good”

Therefore people in our lives are divided into “good” and “bad”
and such labels are being attached firmly in the minds of many people.

That is an illusion of life
Many people live in the world of labels.

“good” and “bad” do not really exist.
They are just a part of the same spectrum at different poles.

There is no good or bad people.

“Good” people might one day change to “bad” people
and “bad” people might choose to repent and become “good” people
so who are we to judge people and put labels?
People will change.
What labels people are carrying are not important.
What is important is the choice people make in the now.

Instead of attaching to labels,
choose to do good deeds in the now
think and feel positively all the time.

There is no point in labeling people.
People will change as time goes by.
Let go the attachment towards labels and judgments that you have put on others.

Focusing in the now and the letting go of attachments may not be easy for many people.
However, practice makes perfect.
Meditating is a very good exercise to help you to develop a focused, disciplined and calm mind
so that you are prepared to face the reality.

Meditation is not religious.
Anybody of any faith can practise it.
It is just a mental exercise to help you to develop your mental and emotional potential.
It is effective in training you to be able to let go any attachments and negativity.

When you do meditation
you are focusing on a subject in the now
Thoughts of the past memories, random inner chatter and negativity might arise while you meditate
so choose to let go these attachments and stay focused.

It is not easy at first to let go while meditating but with consistent practice
you will benefit a lot from having trained mind and emotion.

There are many kinds of meditation such as breathing meditation and love meditation.
I would recommend you to do love meditation consistently as it is very practical and helpful.
Love meditation is an exercise to cultivate the emotions of higher spectrum while developing your ability to stay focused.

Many people who practise love meditation consistently find that people around them become very nice
and they encounter positive events in life very often.
That is because they choose to embrace the higher spectrum of emotions when doing love meditation, which cause them to attract positive events in life.

Meditation is a very healthy exercise for your mind and emotion.
I hope you will benefit greatly from practising it consistently. :)

There are two poles of emotions.

The lower spectrum of emotions consists of “bad” emotions like anger, hatred, greed, lust and fear.

The higher spectrum of emotions consists of “good” emotions like love, compassion and gratitude.

Emotions are important in our lives because they are our inner states that will attract certain realities and outcome.

Choose not to let negative events bring you to negative emotion.
If you are experiencing negative emotion,
choose to let it go by not attaching to it and embrace the higher spectrum.

By embracing the higher spectrum consistently,
you will find that life is meaningful and not stagnant.
It promotes the flow of life and attracts positive outcome to you.

If you feel that life is stagnant and meaningless,
simply choose to let go the state you are experiencing
by not attaching to negativity
and choose to embrace the higher spectrum.
Smiling helps as it is a physical mean of choosing the higher spectrum.

People who embrace the higher spectrum will have the flow in life and live meaningfully.

Let’s perceive life as a game of table tennis (or any ball game)

There are people, who do not focus on the game,
they let their mind drift elsewhere.
Possibly they are dwelling in past memory or daydreaming,
or they are worrying about the outcome of the game.
End up they just let their body respond to the ball automatically (mindlessly) and they make mistakes in the game.

While playing the game one should focus on the now and think only on how to play the ball smoothly.
One has to focus entirely on how to catch the ball, hit the ball, think about the angle and tactics and many other aspects.
One should not think of the outcome, just let it flow smoothly.
One should not worry about the game, dwell in the past nor day dreaming.
One should just let go all these thoughts and focus on the game, and stay in the now.

When one manage to do so,
one can control the game well and master the flow of the game
and things will flow smoothly.

Game is to enjoy,
so there is no need for us to feel stress while playing it.
Let go the expectations and just play the game with flow.
Enjoy the game.
If possible, smile while you play :)

Do that in your life too :)

To Choose, Higher Emotions, Reality 12:47 pm

 

Your thought and Emotion affects your life greatly.

People always have the perception that thought and emotion is something “inside” us
Most probably it is because they have inner physical sensation when they feel or think of something.
There is no saying that our consciousness is “inside” our bodies.
Our consciousness can be enveloping the physical body instead of residing “inside” it
or perhaps the consciousness is timeless and spaceless and it perceives through the physical body.
If that is the case, our thought and emotional process is affecting not just ourselves, but also our surrounding, as there is “connection” between our inner world and outer reality.

We are like souls with bodies, not bodies with souls.

What we think and feel attracts similar realities,
which will lead to similar outcome.

Thinking and feeling is actually making choices because we actually choose to think and feel.
Many people do not realise it as they have accepted that feeling and thought is something naturally fixed and not their choice. It is not true.
By making choices, even subtle choices of feeling and thinking,
you are choosing and attracting reality in life.

So be careful of what you choose to think and feel.
Choose to avoid negative thinking and emotion when they arise.
Attaching to this negativity will only cause you to be trapped in the loop of life where negative events will repeat themselves endlessly.
Therefore it is important to let go of the attachment towards negativity.

Avoid attaching to negativity (hatred, sadness, anger, greed).
One has the free will to choose to embrace the higher spectrum (love, gratitude).
Choose to have love and compassion and think healthily
and you will find that your life events are positive.

Letting Go 8:10 am

 

In life we might encounter conflict with other people due to many reasons
such as misunderstanding, negativity (egoistic, hatred, anger), logic flaws and many more.

It is unwise to hurl nasty comments back at them or whine as it won’t work at all.
It only makes things worse,
making us being trapped in the loop of life.

To deal with such conflict we should approach these people and talk to them diplomatically with respect and solve the problem properly and smoothly.

If they still choose to attach to the conflict and not willing to let go,
well…. it is sad for them,
it is their choice *shrug*
We just have to let go and not attach to such problem.
We cannot expect everyone to have the same “wavelength” as us
and we cannot expect everybody to choose to be nice to us.

Just let go and move on.
Let them say or do whatever they want.
They are just wasting their time and energy while focusing on negativity, which will bring more negativity to themselves.
Save your energy on this matter and do other things that are constructive in your life.

Realise that “good” people might change to “bad” people and vice versa as “time” goes by so do not label or judge people as “good” or “bad”.
Therefore we also should let go and not attaching to perceive that certain people are “bad” for creating trouble for us.
That is the art of forgiving.

is a very good book that I would recommend you to read.

It is good because it is simple, reader friendly and straight forward.

The author stress on letting go things in life so that life will flow on and that will lead to positive outcomes.

Being a Doer is far better than being a talker.

Life is within breaths.

Life is NOW.

Present is a gift where you can make choices and take action.
You do not choose or take action in the past nor future.
Make your choice now and only now.

Time does not really exist.
It is only a perception.
The only real time is NOW.

Choose to let go the attachment towards past and future as they are only illusions in life.
The real time is now.
So live in now. :)
People who live in the now do not fear anything.

Many people have the perception that letting go is very difficult to do.

as if letting go is like…

Tossing away a very valuable golden cup.

Cutting away the string of a kite.

Forgetting something meaningful totally, blanking it out of the mind.

Actually letting go can be like…

Loosing the clenching fist gently.

Lie down comfortably and close the eyes gently.

Not attaching to important memory, just gently see through it and then focus on the now.

Make letting go a comfortable practice in your daily life
and you will see how smooth it flows. :)

You are such a terrible person.

Love is wonderful.
Democracy brings prosperity.
Perfect and Imperfect.

All these are labels.

They are just names given to things and states.
We encounter so many labels in life.

People who are ignorant are easily being manipulated by labels.
They are attached to these labels.
Many people get hurt just because someone “paste” negative labels on them
and many people have false pride when “nice” labels are given to them.
Even the meaning of love is distorted as “love” has become a label that is directed to many meanings, including lust. Nowadays it is better to say “compassion” than “love” to people as “compassion” can be understood more accurately.

Label
is just an illusion that points at the truth,
it is not the truth itself
and labels can be manipulated to point at the fake “truth”

Choose to let go the attachment towards labels in life
and you will realise the nature of reality
and you will be strong. :)

Religion is just belief system.
If you take the teachings literally
you will be limited by it.

Personally when come to religion,
I go for realisation of the teachings instead of intellectual analising and debating.
Realising is about observing and knowing
not talking and debating
as talking and debating only make you run in circles and realise nothing at all
it makes simple things complicated.

I am born as a Buddhist
but I do not attach myself strictly to Buddhism
nor I label and affirm myself to be in any belief system.

I take my religion as a guide to my realisation and self discovery
and I do not limit myself to its teachings.

Even in Buddhism
Buddhists are taught to let go labels and attachment.
There is a Buddhist teaching saying that when you reach the stage of realisation and enlightenment,
you let go all teachings and labels and live freely.
That is the essence of Buddhism.

Realisation, choosing consciously and letting go are my ways of life.

Mother’s day, Father’s day, Valentine’s day, Children’s day, Christmas day, Nurses day, Doctor day, Lawyer day, Octoberfest, National day, Brother’s day, Sister’s day etc.

endless festivals…

I do not need to be told

when to get together with my family members.
when to do my shopping
what to buy on certain day
when to spend money on gifts and stuffs
what to do in certain day
how to live in certain day

I do not need to follow what others are doing
and I do not need the media (or politicians) to inform me when or how to celebrate.

I am free and I can choose how to live my days.
Choose everyday to be good day
and NOW is the best time you can have.

Realise that you do not need to be told what to do.
You have the free will to choose your action.

Observe the people around you.
Many people seem to be living their daily lives but actually they are daydreaming.
They are dwelling in a state of daydream instead of focusing on what they are doing now.

For example,
when they go to school,
instead of being aware in the now, they are busy “thinking” something else.
Either they are dwelling in their past memories, worrying about future events or daydreaming passively.

*Note : daydreaming is passive because the consciousness is not really participating in the imagination actively.

Although they seem to be “awaken”
most of their non sleeping time is spent on passive dreaming,
that means, they are not living in the now and being aware of their present lives

The problem of these pajama people is that being in a state of passive daydream make them not aware that they are living by accepting their realities and drift like a piece of unconscious wood in the river stream,
instead of living in the now and realising that they can choose.

Wake up pajama people and start to realise that you have to be aware and live in the now
and start to choose consciously in your life.
You only live once in this lifetime,
why allow yourself to live in passive daydreams all the time,
when you can live in the now ? :)

Many people make the assumption that the physical body is just a “thing”.
It is nothing more than a physical part of them.
When they get sick they just pump medicine and drugs into their body and let the medicine do their work.

People should realise that physical body is beyond a “thing” or a “tool”
it has “intelligence”
(unless you assume intelligent beings are only those that have brain and can score well in maths :P )
it “knows” how to function.
Scientists have observed how our physical bodies work intelligently.
Animals and humans can evolve automatically to its surrounding for various purposes like being immune to certain substance or protecting themselves from predator.
Two examples are how super-pathogen is evolved and how human body become immune to lead (centuries ago the air is completely free from lead and it is very poisonous to people at the time)

There are reasons why ancient people stress on body-mind relationship.
At times we need to “communicate” with our physical bodies,
not just tossing medicines and drugs into it and expect it to work like a machine :)

Ancient people keep themselves healthy by understanding their bodies and communicate with them.
The ancient Chinese and Yogis know that they can keep their bodies functioning well by controlling the flow of energy in their bodies with their mind.

Besides energy flow,
emotions are important in our health too.

Ancient Chinese know that our organs are associated with certain emotions and having extreme emotions will harm them.
Even skeptics who do not believe in alternative medicine have to succumb to the fact that our emotions can trigger certain chemicals in our bodies to create certain outcome.
There are medical proofs to show that negative emotions like fear and anger cause the body to release toxin. Some people look very old or wore off at young age because their mental state is harmful to their bodies.

To stay healthy,
it is important that we live in the natural flow and live in the NOW.

Realise that your body is not a machine. It is intelligent in its own way.
Even a cell in your body is powerful because a cell has the potential to become a complete organism.

We can “communicate” with our bodies with various methods.
Such communication is important to be healthy as mind and body are coexistence and they cannot function well if they are kept separated.
Will, Imaginations and Emotions are three important ways to do so.

We have the free will to choose our realities in life.
Unfortunately many people choose to give up this privilege and let other people control them.

Many people are indecisive in life.
They let others (for example the government) to do things or decide things for them.
When they cannot handle their lives well,
they cling to fear and they become dependant.
Hence they are being controlled easily.

We are made to feel a bit of fear, insecurity and other negative emotions so that we give up our choice and let others rule our lives.

People need to be awaken and realise that they do not have to live in controlled lives and they have the free will to choose.

Open your eyes and observe and do not let negativity rule your life.

I would like to quote something from this webpage.

If you don’t care to take control of your mind, others will do their best to do it for you. It begins with your parents who most often do have your best interests at heart, though they can only teach you what they have learned. It then continues with educational institutions whose main interest is in turning you into a socially-productive individual who will pledge allegiance to and feel dependent upon the external world or rather the powers that govern the specific country. It is not in their interest to turn you into a fearless human being who is fully aware of and capable of using his mental faculties, who knows that his thoughts create his reality, because then you cannot be controlled and manipulated. It is in their interest to keep you feeling slightly anxious, afraid, slightly inadequate, insecure, and helpless - feeling good enough to be socially productive, but not so good that you stop participating in a never-ending chain of purchasing pills and goodies that will at least for a few moments make you feel a little bit better. That’s why, after you get sufficiently brainwashed through the schooling system, you get more helpings through daily newspapers, news and TV programs. In this way, your mind gets a new daily dose of programming with fresh disasters in the world, lest you forget that there is a possible danger lurking behind every corner. You get more helpings through flashy advertisements. They are all happily programming your subconscious mind, whether you are aware of it or not.

Companies are investing billions of dollars each year on advertising because it is a wonderful way of hypnotizing people - of influencing people’s thoughts and emotions - and it works. When you keep on flashing an idea - whether through words, pictures, music, movies or any other form - day in and day out - it becomes so familiar to the people that they accept it as their own.

Being in a state is about being ( choose to be )
not doing.

For example,
You just be happy, you don’t do happiness or become happy.
You just simply be happy in the now.

To be in a state like happiness,
you just choose to be happy. :)
Smiling helps to bring you to that state.

Even if you are not feeling well,
you can fake it till you make it
( faking is a way of choosing using imagination )

so just let things go,
relax, smile and be happy . :)

Eat when you are hungry,
Sleep when you are tired,

By doing things naturally,
You are letting the flow of life flows.

Eat when you are full,
Work when are tired,
You are going against the natural flow.

Many people are living in chaotic lives.

People need to realise that we need to live smoothly,
living a harsh life will bring problems to us mentally and physically.
Without smooth flow in life, we will get “stuck” in the loops of life
and it will be hard for us to move on.

Sometimes when we need to let go, just let go
Choose to let go, and let the flow of life flows…

Wise people know that attachment is the source of suffering.

When we are attached to something,
we suffer from feeling bad when we lose it.
Outer events can manipulate the inner feelings of people who are attached to certain things.

Some people who choose to dwell in past memories are said to be attaching to past events. They just choose not to let go…..

Realise that events, pasts and everything that exist around us are just illusion.
When we extent the time frame to infinity,
there will be no event that really matters, as events are just temporary.

For example,
if you feel sad when you lose 50 dollars.
such an event is insignificant after 30 years, 60 years, a lifetime, millennia.
It has a beginning, and it will reach its end.

So realise that events are illusions that exist temporary
and choose not to adhere to them.
Choose to let go and be free.

Letting Go, To Choose 11:51 am

 

Many people unconsciously dwell in the past.
They choose to relive their past memory.
Day after day they think about their old life
instead of living in now.

If you choose to adhere to the past all the time,
you will get stuck in your past reality and it will be hard for you to move on.

Past exist so that we can learn from it and move on.
It is the old events that have faded away so there is no point of reliving it.
Choose not to whine
Choose not to believe that life stays in the grey world of past

If the past is haunting you
Choose to let it go gently
and choose to focus on NOW-

You live only once so choose not to live in a grey world.
Choose to enjoy every moment of NOW. :)
as life is all about living in the NOW.
(Choices are made in the NOW, not in the past nor future)

Life is about making choices.
People make choices all the time,
whether they realise it or not.

Different choices lead to different realities
and different realities lead to different events and outcomes of life.

So make the right choice so that you will live in the reality that you desire.

If you feel weak, choose to be strong. :)
Realise that you have the free will to choose the reality you want in life.

Do not let fear, anger, hatred and other lower emotions to rob away your rights of choosing your own reality. you can choose not to adhere to negativity by embracing positivity.
